I recently bought a Ms. Pac Man and a Krazy Bowl for pretty cheap from a local guy when I posted an ad on craigslist. The Krazy Bowl works fine, just had to clean it up a bit. I was told that the monitor in Ms. Pac is burnt out and will need replacing.

I got the machines home, tested them out, and they were exactly as described. I could hear the Ms. Pac running, but nothing was showing on the screen. About a week later, I had some friends over, and I turned it on for the hell of it. We had it running for around 10 - 15 minutes. I went in the back, and thought that maybe I needed to adjust the settings. I started playing with the settings on the monitor, and was surprised when my friend said that he could start to see a picture. After another 5 minutes or so, we got it to where we could play the game.

The picture was very faded, and almost washed out. The right side of the screen was also very jumpy and didn't hold a solid picture. I've asked around a bit, but just want some more opinions on this. What needs to be done to get this running properly again?

Some people have said that I just need to order the deluxe repair kit on bob roberts and that should take care of everything. Does this sound about right, or do I need to replace the tube as well? Any thoughts on this, or anything I can do to test more would help.

I would start with a cap kit and a flyback. No sense replacing the fuses, hot and regulator if they are not bad. You will want to inspect the width coil and see if thats cracked and replace it too.
