Greetings all,
What are you using as a replacement for the HA11244 IC501 and where are you getting it? Mouser does not have it.
Thanks

Thanks
Yes that helps.
I'm really looking for a sub. Those guys on ebay charge 4x the cost. The chip is only worth $2.00. I got 2 monitors into my shop this week with bad ic501's. I want to replenish my parts supply. I have not found a cross reference yet.

No problem. Know you are trying to help, and I appreciate it. I'm just looking for a cheaper sub. I'm hearing that the nte 1550 may be a replacement.

Thanks

The sellers only get $2 each - Fleapay and PayPus get the rest!!

I think I bought the last of what electronix had. They might have gotten more in since then, it was about a month ago. I suggest calling them and checking on qty before placing ANY order with them. They dont have half the stuff listed on their site.

Electronix is irritating me. I ordered 2SD870 and 1106 back in October. Backordered. But you can still order them on the site. Last time I called (about three months ago) they said "any day now."

Thanks

The chip -was- worth $2...but most suppliers are now paying far more for them.
Kind of like standard 7404 inverters. Few years back, they were worth 5 cents each... now the manufacturer is demanding $1.30 each in lots of 1k or more.

One place to find these Hitachi's is here:

Don't know of any subs for them, though.

It's not a question of WHERE to get it. Lots of places have it. Usually for ~$5.00.
Electronix has them for .89. That's a steal.
Unless, of course, they don't restock. That's an issue.

$0.89 for 2SD870's?
Pretty good.
Apparently, I got ripped off with my last batch....
hopefully next time.

Anyone know where I can get a 2SB337 that isn't gonna cost me $25+ bucks? That's crazy for a transistor!

I dont think there are any subs for the HA part. I have very few on hand and I paid retail for them. I have yet to find any in qty for a decent price. I think I paid .70 for 2SD870 last time and I bought several hundred of them. If you can find them for less than 2 bucks thats a fair deal in small qty.

Its a Germanium transistor so its going to cost more. Here are some possible cross refrences, you can probably find one thats more readily available.

I have never dealt with Electronix however as I understand it their components are Chinese knockoffs / bootlegs.. I would question the quality..
I could be wrong.. I believe that is the same outfit i called years ago and they admitted the components I asked about were made in china..

please share your experiences if pruchased from them.

The last time I bought the HA11244s it was from a place called Cincon Electronics. They were $4.35 each. As of a few minutes ago ther were still $4.35 each: http://www.ciconelectronics.com/ha11244.html

I would have chimed in earlier when the discussion centered around the original topic, but I just found my email copy of the invoice so I could find them again.

I like that price. Think I'll order from them. I still cannot find a substitute. Will continue to search.
Thanks for the lead.

Link to Ciconelectronics (link earlier in this thread) shows 2SB337's at just over $2 each.
