I have recapped my G07 as well as replaced the Horizontal Width Coil because it had broken like many of these do. My question is how do I adjust it? Do I need a special tool for it? I have what I believe is referred to as Horizontal curl? It looks like to top corner curls upwards slightly. I am hoping that adjusting the coil would help with this? Thanks for any help.

You do need a special tool. It is plastic and has a hexagonal shape. Radio Shack has a TV repair kit they are clearancing out that has the appropriate tool, or you can order one from Bob Roberts.

The adjustment may get rid of your curl.

Thanks, I'll stop by Radio Shack on my wayy home tonight. Also, I forgot to mention that I did the "upgrade" C303 and C501 swap when I did my cap kit that is supposed to help with this. It was much much worse before the cap kit.

GC Electronics # 8606 (5-1/2" long) or # 8606-L (11" long) are the correct tools to use.

Radio Shack is closing out their line of monitor adjustment tools so you better get there quick or you'll be out of luck.

# 64-2230 (3 piece set)

# 64-2220 (5 piece set)

# 64-2223 (2 piece set)

These are the part numbers you are looking for. it might be a good idea to call ahead since RS employees have no idea what is in stock.

Be Careful though! those radio shack tv adjustment tools are NOT plastic, they are metal (but have a coating on them). it will get hot quick.

in the meantime what you can do is shut the monitor off make the adjustment with an allen wrench, then remove the wrench and turn the monitor back on. it is much harder because you will need to do it several times. i just wait a minute or so between adjustments and use an old board i dont care much about.

My radio shack coil adjustment tools are plastic. The tweaker (pot adjustment) tools are metal with a plastic coating...

I used a metal precision flathead screwdriver with a plastic handle....

I guess you arn't supposed to do that tho...

If I were to do it again, I'd probably get the right tool.

if you are using one of those 48 in 1 boards with a GO7 the curl might never go away. you might need to install a WG 4600 in there to get it perfect. you got the sync on the right pin there?

I have a Bob kit as well, you can never go wrong with a pocket protector.

I actually have multiple kits - one travel kit, one home use kit, and a few back-up kits just for good measure. I am not very organized and it is easier to have kits all over the house than try and find the one kit...
