Peeps,
I have an issue that is occuring on two recently rebuilt G07 chassis. I can get the sync and everything to "lock" in cleanly, but only when the horizontal frequency pot is almost all the way clockwise. That wouldn't bother me, but what happens is that the left side of the picture is now shifted to the right, and there's seemingly no way to center it. See the pic below. If I turn down the oscillator contorl, the screen spreads back out again but I see a jagged signal. Is this something wrong with the monitor still, or is it fine and I just need to add a few more pots (the "centering mod")? Any advice appreciated!

Have you tried either chassis in a game yet? This strikes me as a sync/wiring issue. I don't think you can do anything until these get tested in a game. (especially since they are both doing this).

The other monitor is a vertical that I have in a Spy Hunter cab, and it is doing EXACTLY the same thing.....

EDIT: you are right. I flipped the dip on the TPG for Horizontal to put out H sync on both pins and the trouble went away.... :) Probably some sort of sync wiring issue on the other one (Spy Hunter)...

THere are plenty of difficult/near impossible fixes out there. It's nice to get an easy one here and there.

Turned out Spy Hunter issue was almost the same. Was using replacement mcr video cable that didn't have syncs properly wired. All solid now!

I totally agree on that. Luckily 99% of time you see an image shifted like this it's sync related.
