I have a G07 in my Pacman. I just picked it up from another KLOV member. Everything looks great when I fire it up except that I cannot adjust the green up or down. Green cut-off and Green adjustment do nothing. Theorectically, it was capped and tested. Should I recap to make sure it's been done properly?

I've been reading some of the other threads like this. Are these possibilities?

1. Color transistor on the neck board bad? What transistor and where do I get it?

2. B+? Doesn't seem likely although I notice that the picture is too tall (wide).

3. Tube has failed green gun?

4. Reversed capacitor installed when cap kit was applied?

1. Color transistor on the neck board bad? What transistor and where do I get it? x102 on the neckboard. 2SC2611 Transistors. Bob Roberts has them.

2. B+? Doesn't seem likely although I notice that the picture is too tall (wide). Not likely, but worth checking anyway.

3. Tube has failed green gun? Possibly. Swap transistors first.

4. Reversed capacitor installed when cap kit was applied? Unlikely

Try the above suggestions.

I will try to replace the transistors. I think I have a little green. What value pots are they?

So I had a GO7 with no blue -- I test all the parts I could with a meter they checked out

Still no blue so I turned the cutoffs to mid and all three drives to minimum and then turn up the blue drive-- I did have to turn it much higher that the R and G but now I have all colors

So if things check out might still be an adjustment. ( I did previous just mess with the blue -- but the R and G must have been over powering it, until I started from the min)

1. Color transistor on the neck board bad? What transistor and where do I get it?possible but I would check the green gun first and check "these" second. IIRC there is 1 on the neck board and 2 on the deflection board.

2. B+? Doesn't seem likely although I notice that the picture is too tall (wide).1, 2, 3, Not it.

3. Tube has failed green gun? Green gun most likely shorted... start here

4. Reversed capacitor installed when cap kit was applied?1, 2, 3, not it.

My $0.02 on this issue

If your color section checks out and you know your tube is good, replace R517. When it starts going out of tolerance, it affects the green first, then blue, then red...

I can't even find R517 in the manual or on the schematics. What is that? I don't have a rejuvenator! Oh noooooooo.

The schematic lists it as a 220k-ohm 1/2-watt resistor, although I've found the actual part is a 180k-ohm 1-2/watt resistor. Since the 180 and 200 are parallel to each other in that circuit, it seems they weren't too particular about which went where. If yours still has the color codes, check it to see which it is...

I have a friend coming over on Sunday with a rejuvenator. I also found 3 of the transistors in my kit. I will wait to see what the rejuvenator does then change r517 and the 3 resistors on the neck board.
