I have two G07's here I'm going to be rebuilding over the next hour. One is dead and one works. The dead one had the small fuse blown and a big spark when I discharged the filter cap.
Typically, the original G07 flyback has a label with a green stripe on it. It has been well-established that this flyback should be replaced during a rebuild regardless of whether it is currently working. My dead chassis has this flyback and it will be replaced.
However, my working chassis has a flyback with a different label. It looks all original, and the solder below confirms that the flyback has never been removed.
So, will this flyback also need to be replaced? I know it's normally standard when dealing with an original, but that always has the green stripe. If this is from a different manufacturer, then it may not need to be treated the same. Would rather not waste a new flyback if I don't have to.
