G07 fbo 13" (re-titled) original flyback vs new flyback.

I have this chassis that was untested(until today), written on the side was vert. Sync problem.

I recapped it, new flyback, chassis pots, b+ filter cap, reflow, etc.

B+ is 119.1 by the way with a new flyback, so no issues there .

Anyway, it had a loud squeal, normally attributed to the h-freq pot needing adjustment, but it also had a massive loud crackling/scratchy sound running through the speakers.

Anyway, after going through this thing pretty hard, I found x305 had 2 legs smashed into each other.

Pulled it, tested good, reinstalled properly and now I have this truly fantastic picture with vibrant colors, but it isn't wide enough.

Width coil works and is adjusted all the way out. Position jumpers have been utilized.

Before I go width cap on this, could this be a sync difference between the cbo and fbo? In case it matters I have the same (lack of width) with tpg and wacko. About 1/2-3/4" on each side.
Any other insight would be encouraged and appreciated.

Doing a little research shows mixed results on horizontal width using new flybacks on the fbo.

Hopefully I have the original in my trash. I will report back.

Ok thank goodness I found the original flyback in my trash.

Installed it and I have perfect width.

So in this case-the new flyback "worked", b+ was good, but the width was about an inch too narrow on each side.

Worth mentioning is...this is a random newer flyback. Maybe the more consistent higher quality flybacks from security0001 would work better for the width issue.
