Before you say use the search function...hold on.

GunSmoke.

G07-CBO that has been recapped, new fly, horizontal curve mod added, and fixed the two caps near the fly to both equal 220uF. The B+ a spot on 120 VDC.

Once the game warms up the curve does eventually go away. In fact in the picture in shows it after about 15 minutes of running.

Like I said it does go away but I am curious because in the time it took me to type this, it will be fine.

I am using two tantalum caps in series to adjust for the width. I originally was a 560K but the picture was too small. I put a 1uF in series with a 39K to give me roughly 288K of capacitance. The screen is filled horizontally perfect allowing for the monitor shroud.

Do I just have to get used to warming the machine up for 20 minutes before I play a game or is there some other component I need to focus on.

Thanks.

LOL....now autumn sets in my Berzerk (G07) is showing exactly the same curl again....only when it's cold(er).

Never bothered me to much, no problems in summer, no problems whan it heats up a bit. Thought it would be a cap though....

Note that my Berzerk's monitor is in 100% original state, I only cleaned it. The picture is still wonderful apart from that curl :)

I would reflow the joints on all the pots....most specifically the V-Lin pot, if that doesn't work, I'd replace it and go from there.....

Uh, 17 bucks for a tiny bubble envelope with about the weight of just the envelope is a bit crazy IMHO. Shouldn't cost more than a couple of bucks:

Never mind, I'll source them locally.

[Edit] I understand you only ship flat rate boxes, no problem I can understand, no harm done :)

Sorry, we have had to many problems in the past. Plus, a box is more secure than an envelope. Less likely for the product to get damaged. USA to Holland is a long way!!

Yeah but it goes on a plane rather near where you ship it from. In fact, USPS has a perfect track record with me. I never had anything get lost or damaged. We also have a very reliable post service over here.
Seeing some of the nightmare stories on KLOV forum about shipping stuff I even think it's safer to ship abroad :)

Again, no problem, I can understand but I also hope you understand that in this case it's not economical for me.

Give me your address and I will send you a set.

That is very kind of you Dokert, but I have just ordered a set locally last evening :)

There's this wonderful company called RS electronics in Europe and they don't charge for shipping, even on the smallest amounts of stuff.
For less than 3 Euro's (USD 3,90) I got the 4 pots shipped to my home.

Again thanks very much for the kind offer :)

Dude, I pay $0.50 each for these pots. If a guy like me can't spare $2.00 plus the shipping on them, I should just give up and get a real job. Obviously I don't make repairs to pay my rent or feed my family. Now if I did, I would be bitching and whining about giving away a 4" zip tie. (cost $0.01);)
