G07 Cracked Neck - What To Do

I'm having a totally bad week and to top it off I cracked the glass neck on my G07 Frogger CRT. What is my best option here?

Can I buy just the neck piece with the board attach at the end and swap it in?

Any advice is appreciated- thanks

Cracked neck = cracked tube. (the glass neck is part of the glass tube; not an attachment)

Need a new/replacement tube.

Why not get another G07? It's not like they're impossible to get.

LCDs look like ass with classic games.

Maybe to keep the game playable you can throw in a temporary LCD, but don't give up on the tube. What a great opportunity to learn how to perform a tube swap from a donor TV.

Keep the chassis, dump the cracked tube. Can probably take the yoke off of it too

You could look for a CR-23 tube in an old TV

G07 are a pain to tube swap. Find a 19" TV and buy a rebuilt K7000 and make a new monitor. Most TVs built in the 90s are K7000 compatible tunes. Good luck either way.

yeah they can be tough. I've done one or two and had to live with the imperfection in the convergence. It didn't bother me, but it was for another local guy and I know he wanted it perfect. (I don't blame him, it just wasn't possible).

I have tried with serveral g-07's and never got good results. I had a few 4900's turn out pretty good.

I've even had k4900's do well with 20" tubes. (real well actually)
