I did a tube swap on a G07 chassis, it in a ms pac mach, theres a faint red on the whole screen, also nothing that should be red is on the screen and the bule is also off. All the color pots are waaaaaay out of adjustment. any adivse on the best way to get this in line??
Thanks

yeah ive been twistin them all over the place. plus the other 2 on the neck
All seem to make a difference but I cant balance them to get the red back ???? Is there a good starting point???? All in middle starting with one color or something?????

yeah it was capped shortly before i got it, I changed the tube and coil after I got it with a broken tube in it

I don't know what to really say. Maybe wait for someone with more monitor experience to chime in. All I can say is re-cap the neckboard

theres a faint red over the whole display area when its on but things that are supposed to be red arent......

I had a Pac-Man with a green tint and a cap kit fixed it. Maybe check for bad caps? Some go bad quickly and some can be made bad.

O.K. when you said tube swap, did you also take the yoke off? Yokes have to be tuned to the tube they're on, if they're too far up or back the neck all your colors will be scrwed up. Same thing with the convergence rings. If they're not right where they're supposed to be your colors will be off.

Also do you know if the tube was looking good in something else? Also the monitor chassis, was it looking good on the old, burnt tube?

If the red images don't light up, but the whole tube looks red, that sounds like the monitor chassis to me. If your signal isnt' getting through to the gun because you've got a bad transistor somewhere, the pots on the neckboard will turn up the red on the background but nothing that needs to be red will be.

i know nothing of the history of either other than the chassis of the replacement mon i bought for the tube kept blowing fuses, i capped it and changed both transistors and it still blows fuses thats a WG unit. The original G07 in this game had the neck broke when i got the game so i swapped the tube from the other mon n this is where i am so far.........i has a faint red under everything ALL the time..... the red ghost nor the red midway logo come up red..... the red ghost is just a set of eyes moving around........ To adjust the spacing of the coil to neck can i do that with wverything juiced up n live?????

My Ms. Pac had a light red haze when I got it as well, however all parts meant to be red were. Try turning the brightness low.

That's all I can say as I have not much experience in monitor repair.

I've noted a light red haze on quite a few G07s.

Turn down the screen control until it disappears, then use the neck pots to adjust colours in.

recapped it and capped the neck board, plus reflowed ALL solider joints and when I turned it on it was ok for a few seconds I played with the pots to make the colors more correct and when I cam back to the front of the machine red was gone again....... Its there but VERY VERY faint. You can see "game over" in red but you gotta REALLLY LOOK hard..........
This things driving me nuts

Help me out guys

changed the red transistor on the neck board ... no change
Played with the yoke coil spacing ..... no improvement

Im at a total loss here
