I posted a quick video in slow motion but like the title. I have a G07-CBO that is arcing when it's first turned. A minute later once the monitor is warmed up I can turn the monitor off and back on with no arching sparks. If I turn the game on and off after 10 seconds then back on the arching happens. I've seen it arch 4-5 times in a row when cold but turn it off quickly. Ordered cap kit but wondering what else to look into with this sparking.

Could be that you do not have the Dag wire hooked up to the neck board. Also the anode cup might be cracked or need cleaning. Or the anode cup wires are not firmly clipped into the monitor.

Appreciate the response.
The wire seems connected. The monitor comes on and the screen looks good during game play. I will checked the anode cup and it's in there. I even slightly bent the wires so the anode cup is more secure. I arching looks like it's coming from the neck to some spot on the back of the tube.
Noting seems to ever arch directly from the cup id that helps.

get your cap kit and fly on there first.
give the chassis a good re-flow as well.

post your results after the work has been done.

your video is cool with the slo mo.

give it a good cleaning too. if you need parts or kit i have them in stock.

Of coarse now the monitor is behaving fine....

Capkit on the way - I figured the only way to show you guys what's happening is to do it in slo-mo.

Security0001 pm sent for flyback.

Should have this thing done next week but heading to Grinkfest so will post results when I get back.

Thanks for the feedback!
