G07 CBO, modded -vs- un-modded. What's the difference?

I'm going through a good size batch of G07s and noticed that they come in two flavors. One had some mods on the bottom of the chassis and the other is plain. They look like factory mods. Do they have significance?

I haven't seen anybody comment (ever) on what exactly each part does, only that if they are on there, leave them on there.

I have personally taken off 1 or 2 of the resistors, or diodes can't remember what is in there, (in the plastic sleeve), and I no longer had sync.
