GO7 Cap Kit installation information – How to
All information provide to you, at your own risk

There are videos on how to do a cap kit on youtube.com (watch some of them)
Take pictures of your wiring connections for your monitor so when It's time to hook everything back up, you will know where everything reconnects to.
Before you pull the monitor out of the machine discharge your crt
1) Unplug your machine
2) Unplug monitor power connection inside cabinet
3) You need a 2 ft long wire with alligator clips at both ends
(You could use a set of car jumper cables if you wish, kind of bulky)
4) connect one end of your cable to the steel frame of the monitor and place a Plastic handled flat screwdriver in the jaws of the other end. Place one hand in your back pocket and with your other hand (make sure you are not touching any metal) slide the screwdriver under the (Anode) suction cup on the tube with the big red line coming out of it. This will discharge the crt. You may hear a small popping sound, sometime not.
Once that is done you can lift the suction cup up and disconnect it, if you like.
After a minute or two sometime a small charge will redevelop in the tube. Just touch
your grounded screwdriver to the anode one more time and that should get rid of that issue. At this point you can disconnect any wires from the pcb to the monitor and pull the monitor out the front of the cabinet. It is a lot easier to work on if its on a table or bench. When carrying the monitor always carry it with the picture tube facing your chest.
The neck of the monitor is delicate, never try to move or lift it from that point.
First thing to check is your hot. You are going to need a meter. It can be a cheap one from radio shack or a hardware store.. Pawn shops sometime get them to. There is a continuity setting on there that states if you have a open or closed circuit. The meter moves when you touch the legs together. Check the soldered in fuse on the chassis. The needle should move if the fuse is good. With your meter touch one test lead to the center of the big metal transistor on the outside of the chassis on the right hand side of the chassis and with the other lead touch the metal side of the chassis. The needle should not move. If either of these tests fail you will need a new flyback and hot. (Bob Roberts carries these as well)
Be very carefull of the horizontal width coil on the right side back edge they are super delicate on the G07's
Next thing to do: There is a degaussing connector on the left side of the chassis in the back. I use a Black sharpie marker to put a mark on the connector on the end facing me to reference which way it goes back on, once it's time to reassemble. The connector for the yoke is keyed so that just unplugs on the chassis to remove the neck board just gently rock the board back and forth pulling out ward, it will slide off. The last thing to do is remove the (2) 1/4 inch bolts holding the chassis to the frame.
When you install the cap kit. Make sure all items are present as listed on the install sheet before you start. As you remove a cap from the chassis reinstall the new one right back onto the chassis. Before removing a cap note its polarity (you must keep positive and negative correct on your chassis) New caps have a longer positive leg and looking at negative side of the cap is a line down the side. Do not trust the printing on the chassis Use a pencil to check items off. At this point Do not do any modifying of the pcb. Even if suggested on the cap kit. Once you are done installing the cap kit. double check that you have clipped off all new capacitor legs and reinstall the chassis into the monitor. Take your monitor to the back of your machine and place it on a wood stool or something so your cabinet wiring will reach the monitor.
Double check your connections Anode, degauss, yoke are in place.
Turn on the power. The neck of the monitor should glow at this point followed by a picture on the screen.
Turn off monitor, discharge crt and put everything back together in the cabinet.
I hope this information will help!

If I forgot some stuff. My fellow KLOV members will chime in.
