I have the red turned all the way down on this one yet the lettering in two seperate games is bleeding alittle. rebuilt chassis but not flyback yet on order. changed out all three trans in red. also I cant turn the brightness all the way down, it gets darker but not black. this is on my tester so tube is fine. pots replaced on red drive and cutoff. whatcha guys think?

small signal transistor that is tied to red on mainboard perhaps.
dont know location off hand check schematics. change neckboard maybe supply voltage to red transistor dif from the rest. test col voltage when your not driving the color transistor that may give some insight.

yea changed all the tranistors in the red circuit, when you say not driving the color transistor, should I just leave the RGB connector off then test at collectors voltage?

check all the resisters and zener diodes between all the color transistors on the main chassis.

problem fixed, the previuos tech tried to repair the red by replacing the two transistors on the main board. he reversed them and I just swapped them out. after double checking them I reversed them and now have perfect color red. not the first time someone elses error cost me time.
