I just picked up a gorf with a G07. The game plays and I can see a very faint picture. None of the adjustments have helped. Randy Fromm's chart says X303 needs to be checked. Any other opinions on that?

Here are some shots of the issue, there are a few lines on the left side.

1) Have you recapped the chassis and reflowed all suspect cold solder?

2) If you barely see the pic with the brightness turned all the way up, and you've recapped it, you can try replacing R517...

Recapped and reflowed everything yesterday. The problem was still there.

Then, I realized it could be the RGB board since it's a gorf. Swapped for my good one and sure enough, it's bad.

Does gorf RGB repair fall under monitor repair???? :) I reflowed all the connections on that board and everything looks in order. I'll take any tips people want to send my way but I'm not sure I have the skill to fix the board so I'm on the lookout for a replacement.

No, some dude in Indiana who lied through his teeth. He said it was working until he moved it. It wouldn't have mattered because I wanted it anyway but at this point I've found a bad RGB board, bad RAM card and a broken wire to the joystick causing it to not fire.

On the plus side, it's pretty clean and the inside is very original. It's got paper tags on all the wiring harnesses (like 5 of 'em) and all the hard parts are in good condition except the CPO.
