Have a missile command, Atari. Has a G07 monitor. When I got it 10 years ago, it worked fine. After a while, the screen would not light up unless you turned it on and off a few times. A few times turned into a lot of times, and now, the monitor shows nothing.

I am an old pinball mechanic, but never tried to fix a monitor.

Does this bring a specific problem to mind? I have read quite a bit on this, and know about refurbrishing the board with new caps, flyback, etc. Other than doing that, is there somehting more specific that would cause this?

Thanks

Do yourself a favor and order a Bob Roberts G07 Deluxe Repair Kit for $40 + S&H.
http://www.therealbobroberts.net/parts.html#flyback

Includes: Flyback, Regulator, Hot, Width Coil, Fuses, and Cap Kit.

Will more than likely get it up and running and then you won't have to guess which part to replace when it dies again from replacing only one part.

I've fixed 2 dead G07 monitors with Bob's kits.

Does that kit come with the IC that sits under that silver shield? Other than that...with that kit it sounds like it should take care of your issue....If I was to guess, I'd say your C411 cap....100ufd @160 volts is leaking.

No, it does not include IC501 which is NOT normally needed when repairing a G07
