Hello, I have a G05-802 in my Bzone upright that is acting up. When I pulled it out and booted it up it looks like purple lightning type stuff coming out of the flyback in the HV cage. There is silicone all over the thing, so I assuming someone tried to fix this previously. I have another V2000 monitor sitting here that allegedly works. I am wondering if I can swap the HV cages? I have read that parts can be swapped, but I notice that the pinout to the actual HV cage is different between the two- for example the V2000 has 5 pins and the 802 has 6, so I am assuming at a minimum I need to move some wires around.

I tried plugging in the v2000 as a whole and it fired up but got a bright white light in the center that then started to expand and get larger- is that normal? I don't recall that happening when Bzone fires up. I quickly turned it off to avoid any issues, but perhaps that is o.k?

Any details you can provide are much appreciated, this is the first time I have actually had to look at a B&W vector.

You should be able to swap hv cages directly if the GO5 is the -802 model. Don't think you can swap the -801 model. The deflection board needs one wire moved on the big connector to swap deflection boards.
