Posted about this a few weeks ago but still having issues. Original thread is here:

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=134443

No longer blowing fuses after I replaced bridge DB100. Game plays fine but is wavy in test mode. See video in previous thread above.

What has been done:
- Cap Kit including two large 6800uf caps
- Headers reflowed
- Resistor Wire mod
- X-Amplifier and Y-Amplifier transistors replaced
- Big Blue replaced from Bob Roberts(still have issue with old Big Blue)
- AR board rebuilt

It is not a board issue. My main board came from member Road.Runner. My other board would not coin up properly but still showed the same results. To make sure it was not an issue with my boards, i sent them back to Road.Runner and they are running fine on his setup.

I checked the voltages on the AR board after i rebuilt it and everything was okay. Also had 5v at the board. Will check voltages once again when i get my board back from Road.Runner.

Any other things to check/replace on the monitor?

maybe you missed Dokert's response, but I agree with him ... this appears to be a board issue ...

I just got done restoreing my Asteroids mini. I rebuilt the monitor like you and my board is a road.runner board I got from him, when UPS lost mine I sent to him.

Have you put new terminals in the PCB board edge connector?

I did just because some of mine were bent and of course 30 years old and had lost their grab.

Just a thought...

Just to reiterate this is not a board issue...both boards have the "wavy" problem in Grbgemen's machine....but both boards are rock solid in my test rig.

So what is the problem ? power supply ? monitor ?

I will look into the edge connector. Will also check the voltages once again. Was way to hot out today to get any work done.

Looks like i have may have fixed the wavy issue. Went ahead and replace the two filter caps at C102 and C103. Also reflowed a bunch of solder joints. They did not look cracked or bad but I figured it was worth a shot.

Now can anyone guide or explain how to adjust the pots on the monitor deflection board. My grid in the test screen is not lined up correctly. Its close but still needs some tweaking. I tried to adjust them but did not really get anywhere.

Should the x & y size pots on the game board be turned all the way down before adjusting the four pots on the deflection board?
