Hello, I am trying to fix a GO5-802 that has the spot killer circuit LED on. The screen has a white dot in the middle of the screen if you turn up the brightness.

Here is what I have done:
1. Cap kit. (Bob R.)
2. Checked PCB for X/Y signal, measures good.
3. Checked ZD900 and ZD901, both good.
4. Voltage on pin 1 of P500 is very low.
5. Bridge rectifier checks out ok on HV unit.
6. R100 measures infinite.

Question 1 - If R100 measures infinite (should be 5 ohm 10W sand resistor), could this cause my symptoms?

Question 2 - If no to Question 1, then what next?

Thanks...

yes, that could cause the problem. Those two big resistors can be taken off, and I think a simple jumper there will work just fine.

And I assume the game it is connected to works?

Thanks Mod. That worked out great, though the PCB didn't work that well. It now displays lines that resemble a broken window, like when you die on Battlezone. I tried another PCB that I had laying around and the game came up great. Any ideas what might cause this type of problem on the PCB?

Thanks again Mod.
