Hi all,

Got a couple HV units from a fellow KLOVer and one of them is missing what looks like to be a big fat jumper.

It's on the Anode Lead, one end has the cap, the other has what looks to be a plug, and off the flyback is a lead with what looks like is a plug.

One HV unit has said "jumper" but the other doesn't. What is it, and where can I buy one?

Thanks! (yes, I'm a n00b on the G05s)

Yes, Bob is out of stock on these. I asked him about it yesterday. One thing he did mention, if you cannot find one, is that if you remove it and clean it thoroughly with rubbing alcohol then let it dry completely and reinstall, this can sometimes fix them.

And dont discharge the monitor with a screwdriver and a wire to ground. It will blow the diode if it's not already bad. You need some resistors in line or use a hi-voltage probe to discharge it. I dont remember the value of the resistors.

I have heard that a lot, but I discharged a G05 and a 19V2000 a few times each last night using the screwdriver-directly-to-ground-method and it didn't cause any problems. Maybe it gradually causes a failure? Has anyone actually had any problems blowing the HV diode when discharging in this manner?
