Thanks for the good reference dezbaz :)

I just got home and checked my notes as I told AsterBlaster I would, and it seems mine is a GO5-802 which after reading the bw_vector_monitor_faq.pdf it sounds incompatible with the 801 and beyond my knowledge to deal with. I was hoping for plug and play, not a project.

I was going to get it sent to a member here Vectorman, although I have not had time to ask him yet I assume that would be OK as I have sent him parts before, and purchased cabs.

I wonder if he could convert it for me or include the parts for conversion? obviously he knows Vectors :)

Sorry for this extra hassle Asterblaster, I will make my mind up quickly so you can pass it onto someone else if you think this purchase doesn't suit me.

Here is the info from the stickers on my chassis.

Atari Quadrascan
Part No 92-047
a stamp on this sticker reads #23269
small print at bottom 54-8546-03

another sticker reads

MFD by Kitchener Ont.Can. Electrohome LTD N2G IJ6
Product No 38-GO5-802-00
Chassis GO 5802
Serial No 9-200603

Cheers,
Rat

It's just a different pinout on the connector. Bob Roberts sells adapters for $15:

V2000 Monitor To G05-801 Wired Cabinet Adaptor $15.00
G05-801 Monitor To V2000 Wired Cabinet Adaptor $15.00

I checked out the adapter at Bob Roberts, I can't imagine he would be selling an adapter like that if the monitors were still not swappable for some other reason when using the adapter.
So it must be all good, I have paid in full and PMed the postal address. Thanks for waiting :)

I don't get it. When Rat seemed unsure if he wanted this, I sent a PM and was told "The monitor is yours!" I was told this after I said in the previous message " Please let me know if you intend to sell it to me or not. Check my feedback, I'm good for the deal, but I don't want to send money unless you tell me it is mine."

Am I missing something here?

That's some BS right there. You said nothing about if he didn't want it it was mine. Because of the waffling on him buying it I asked you to clarify.

Me: "Please let me know if you intend to sell it to me or not. Check my feedback, I'm good for the deal, but I don't want to send money unless you tell me it is mine and you ensure you will ship it very well packed."

You: " Yeah this guy is giving me a runaround. You can paypal xxxxxxxx@gmail for it. I have sold many monitors and I use triple expanding foam and everything. The monitor is yours!"

I know I can find another monitor, but that's not the point. Your business ethics leave much to be desired. Maybe I'm off base, but the critics here can decide that and I'll gladly take the outcome of their findings.

Sorry it turned out that way, I was certainly upfront and honest throughout the whole transaction.

I said in my first PM that I was very keen but would need to get home to check my notes.
When I checked it wasn't the same as mine, but there was a chance that wouldn't matter. I knew there was other interest so I paid a $20 deposit to show I wasn't a time waster, I said he could keep it if I backed out. Then less than 24hrs later I paid in full. I would not call that giving the run around.

I would have stayed out of this, as in my view the sale is over, but I felt I needed to make sure people know I am not a difficult customer to deal with.

While he had your deposit, which I knew nothing about, he then said to me it's yours and told me where to pay. Just so happens I saw your post that you paid, before I went ahead and did so myself. Either one of us could've been jerked here that is why I'm groping about it, it just ended up being me. What would've happened if I saw his email immediately and paid him and then you did? You did nothing wrong here, just the guy who said he'd sell to two people at the same time when I clearly communicated I didn't want to deal that way. He agreed and told me it was mine, while never saying anything to you and holding your deposit. I hope it all works out for you Rat.

Had my issues with AsterBlaster too!!

Hi guys , i'm newish to the site and recently purchased my first item through a fellow member....i have had nothing but trouble with this AsterBlaster, Haven't heard from him in some 9 days now, after purchasing a Golden Tee Golf 2004 Board off of him nearly a month ago. I paid the day we agreed to shipping costs....have been given the run & muck around at every turn since......I've since had to open a paypal dispute for a refund. My advice would be to avoid him, no excuse for the lack of contact......i repeatedly asked for shipping info but was given nothing.

A quick read of his activity within threads is a worry.

*I will be leaving this member feedback reflecting my dealings with him.
