g05 15" HV and Deflection board

If you mean G05-802 (19") and G05-805 (15"), they are the same deflection PCB, but you need to change two resistors' values (R604 and R704) to use a 19" deflection in a 15" (or vice versa. Details are in the manual, but here is the summary:

802 (19"): R704 = 820 ohms, R604 = 910 ohms
805 (15"): R704 = 750 ohms, R604 = 750 ohms

The HV is the same for both models. (No changes needed.)

this thread seems to be as good place as any to inquire ....

i have a couple 15" monitors i am trying to bring back to life & know about the R604/R704 differences for the 15/19, but what is the difference with the deflection board pins & the harness on monitor?

some deflection board are keyed at pin 4 & some are keyed pin 5 and there is an additional purple wire going to the crt neck board (no pin on crt)

are the two deflection boards interchangeable with simply pulling the connector key pin or do other modifications need to be preformed to make them interchangeable between the early & later monitors

Just make sure pins 4 and 5 are both pulled on the main deflection board connector, and any board will work in either harness version. This is what I do on all boards I repair and sell, and I've never had anyone report a problem.

The extra pin/wire go to the neck connector, but don't connect to anything, so there isn't an impact. Perhaps it was a provision to allow a different tube to be used at some point, but as far as every monitor I've seen it, was never used, as it doesn't connect to anything. So it's one of those unsolved arcade mysteries.
