I am doing a capkit on this chassis and came across C402. it had a 2.2uf 50v eletrolytic cap there. The schematic calls for a 2.2uf tantal cap, is there any reason this would be done, an upgrade of some sort? should I replace it with the correct cap or leave it?

trying to resolve this ever so slow scroll. did a capkit, resoldered all the points on the aux, card. replaced th IC and the vertical hold pot. just cant get it to lock in as soon as its stops in one direction it starts in another, recommendatons? I looked at the schmatic and saw Q 209 was the first thing in the sync circuit but mine doesnt have one, just the spot for one.

I have it hooked up to my centipede testing jig. If I am not mistaken this chassis is postive sync only so it should work fine.

still no luck with this chassis, so far I tried
1 cap it
2 reflow all solder points
3 new vertical hold pot
4 IC chip
5 replace c402 with correct tantal cap
6 bridge pins 5 and 6
what else can I do to get this thing to stop scrolliing. (ever so slowly)

ok a schematic would be helpful here. the only one i can find is an issue two my board says issue four and is differnt. anyone have one they can email to me?

any advice would be helpful, I have a large hammer looking at this thing right now!
