With the help of an arcade buddy, I ended up with that last one. I have to go pick it up monday. It works fine, but I think I will convert it to a red DK. And Articroad picked up the choicest of the above cocktails but I will let him post if he wants to tell about it. If anyone has other prices of note, lets hear them. If any one has any opinions on the prices above, lets hear them as well. In general, they had a good lot of classics covered, but not much rare. Best deal of the day was probably 9 vending machines for 5 dollars. And I mean the heavy ass vendors that weigh about the same as a drink machine.

as usual lots of deals to be had, i got a Turbo OutRun F40 cockpit fully working for $100 and a OutRun mini fully working for $100, a Bloodsport UR, beautiful monitor too for $25 and a Ridge Racer 2 UR, played great for $25!!! Also got 2 Rowe R93 working jukeboxes loaded with records for $60 each (they're headed to EBay soon) Oh yea, I bought one of those fcking monster vending machines, must weigh a 1000 pounds and it was too tall for my trailer so it had to be laid down, took four of us and it still landed with a boom. I told the auction dude I'd pay him $25 if I could leave it!! The nicest part of this auction is the venue, what other auction has carpeted floors and Starbucks coffee on the auction floor.

Tell you what, you go to the Atlanta area and pick up two cabiniets for me, bring to Folkston and I'll give you the OutRun mini AND a Centipede UR.

Wonder who got the Joust 2. That game is bitchin'.

That was my friends Joust II. I didn't know it when I wrote the prices down, but I believe he bought it back and took it home. If you are really interested, he's in Wise VA, and I could put you in touch with him. Don't know what he would want, but he is trying to raise some fundage right now. I guess he thought the Joust 2 was worth more than the 400 though. PM me if you are interested.

I got the Pac-Man cocktail cabinet

Yep..I picked up that non-working but very nice Pac-Man cocktail cabinet. I drove there just for that reason. I'm glad there was one there and that I wasn't disappointed. I've always been a fan of that cabinet because of the shape of it (wood sides with no t-moulding). It's just my preference. I saw two Pac cocktails at the last auction, but didn't get one because prices were a little high then. I'm thinking I was probably bidding against the owner of the one that I won at this auction. I picked it up for $275. Either it was the owner or someone that wanted that cab as bad as I did. Like I told Black Matrix, I didn't want to pay that much for a dead cab, but I finally got what I wanted. The monitor doesn't power up, but I've got another G07 chassis for it if needed. The Pac board is good though except for a bad VRA board (from what I've read). It's clean with no hacks. I popped it into my Pac upright. It fires up and plays, but no characters on the intro screen or the maze. I'll pop another VRA board on it and see what happens.

I thought it was a good auction. I spent an hour or so playing sit-down driving games before the auction started. There was a Konami one that was on the row opposite the vending machines. I can't remember the name of but it was pretty cool. I played that for quite awhile. Anyone remember the name of that one? I remember it had a big blue button you had to press to start the game.

Steve's such a nice guy. Although I never ended up buying anything from him he was nice to deal with.

I would take you up on that deal if it were near me.

The Konami driver was Winding Heat, it IS a great driving game, rarely seem to pop up, it went dirt cheap like maybe $150, PLUS there was another Konami driver there GTI Club, I've never seen that version but it too is a great sit down driver, same thing, sold way cheap under $200 and I think that was a buy back. I was in trouble early on for space in my trailer and several games I wanted I had to pass on. Lots of us collectors got deals!

Man, I was standing right beside you when you got the Pac cocktail. I was interested in it figuring it would go cheap nonworking.

Damn, I forgot all about the Ridge Racer 2. I was looking at it earlier in the auction. I fell asleep on that one.

I do remember them auctioning the record juke boxes and they went cheap. I think it was because the guy brought quiet a few of them.

I was interested in the Rockola Fireball CD juke. I won the NOS glass set for one early in the auction. But when it was time for that juke the auctioneer said it was fully working. It was showing errors on the screen and wouldn't play as I checked it earlier. Some guy walked up late and bid it up to over $400 thinking it was working.

Steve,

I am VERY likely going to be headed up to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game in a month. If you still need cabinets picked up, let me know and I will do it for you.

You keep the Centipede ... I only want the Outrun mini. ;-)

Seriously, though ... if you need the help, just let me know. I am making the trip either way ... no reason I can't throw a couple of cabinets in the back of the truck!

Go Gators!

MM, if you are coming up 75 tell me more about the Zaxxon project cab you have.

Total project!

Very nice cabinet ... original woodgrain, but no zaxxon sideart. Currently houses Rush N Attack, so the harness has been hacked to play that and of course the bezel, marquee, and control panel have all been converted to R&A.

Of course, that also means the monitor was converted to horizontal rather than the original vertical.

This actually plays Rush N Attack quite nicely as it sits and looks decent enough with the woodgrain. It is going to take some "love" to collect all the parts needed to get it back to Zaxxon, but the cabinet is nice and that's a start.

I would let it go for $100.00 as it sits or $40.00 if I pull the PCB and monitor ... if you are interested, let me know. I could use the space and I will NEVER convert it back to Zaxxon unless a kit just happened to fall in my lap.

It's not that I don't enjoy Zaxxon, but I simply suck at it and I have limited space so I will be content to keep playing it on the 48 in 1 for now ...

P.S.
I am pretty sure I have some better photos of it on my PC at home, but in the meantime I dug up this old photobucket pic. You can just barely see it hiding in between Gorf and Mach 3 in the background there ...
