It will be, yes. Due to water issues, we were advised not to have a door on the driveway side. Apparently the water table and the lay of the land have caused flooding in through the (old) garage doors in the past.

And I thought putting insulation and sheet rock up in my garage was gonna be a lot of work . I have it easy . Your doing some major reconstruction to setup your arcade .

Thanks for noticing! Yeah I designed and had to get a variance from the township to add the entryway as the home was built so close to the road. The difference in the home's appearance from the front is amazing.
That sure does change the look. Much better. Glad you were able to get the variance. But damn, that is close to the road. Hopefully it isn't too busy of a road. I guess with that lot though, they were probably pretty limited on where the house could be built. Plus the huge backyard is a major bonus.
So where are future restorations going to be done? Will a detached garage be built later?

It's a short dead end road. In fact, there are only 3 other houses on it. It ends at a small canal. The road ends right after the last dump truck in this pic:

Yeah, but it has to be torn down for the new septic system next year. We will be adding an attached garage to the SE corner of the existing house, just to the left of the gameroom. There will be a master suite above it. It will extend out from the corner the deck is on now:

Looks very nice. Thenew entry and windows makes it look like a different house. Is that a skylight? Never had good luck with them allways seem to leak.
man that is quite the rehab. How many square feet are you adding?

It will add an extra 744 square feet. The room is 31 x 24 and will have 7.5' ceilings when finished.

It's actually getting removed for that reason. We already added a new window to that (bath)room to retain the natural light.

That pile of dirt in the front is from the inside of the gameroom. All that was dug out just to lower the floor 3 inches to give us 7.5' of ceiling height.

Congrats on the new digs! This will be a fun thread to watch as you make progress... I love seeing the 'everything from nothing' types of threads where the arcade is literally willed into existence. Good job in advance.
