NEW Future Home of Galaxy Blue

What a great place to raise your family and your new game room space will be amazing I'm sure. Looking forward to following your build here and filling it with your minty games!

(I am also looking at building a new space for my games as well. Just getting the final contractor quotes in now for a carriage house, 34 x 34. Will be the same as Phet's with game room and bar.

Dude, I'd love a dedicated arcade building, that was my original goal. The first lake place (the one we initially tried to buy) had a nice 24 X 30' building on a separate lot across the road from the main house. That building alone gave me a full 2 months of pipe dreams (that were later shattered by the flooded yard).

Sounds like the 2nd house was the one meant to be. Nice to be able to have people over at your new place where they can go from your Arcade room to the beach/fire pit, etc... sounds awesome.

The new one we will be building will have a 2 bedroom suite above that my daughter and her husband will live in while they save for a house. After that I am sure one of my other kids will move in or we could always rent it out. Do you have bar plans yet Phet?

It's going to be industrial/ modern/ futuristic, steel and glass, lights, etc. just haven't ironed out the details yet.

Love the lot. Can't get much better then that. The house will be killer when all is said and done. I look forward to watching the progress.

Can't believe they had dirt and gravel right up against a wood wall. Good call on making that wall all cinder block.

Yeah, the old dirt up against the wooden wall routine was a little suspect. Another progress pic:

I'd like to refer you back to post number one sir.

Aha! 7' 6"....I found it. That will be a good height!

If you need any help during the process, I'm more than happy to lend a hand during any part of the remodel process, or loading in games. Just call or text.

How many button mashers (kids) do you have? I think I saw 3 different ones in the pics.

It was 4 years ago today that the wife and I closed on our current place. There is a lot more arcade room than the rental we were in and the place is only 50 years old instead of 110.

Looks like a lot of work. Watching this thread to see how it goes. I bought a house that was gutted a few years ago. I am not done with it since I am doing all the work my self and between work and everything my son does after school there does not seem to be much time. Good luck with the build.

A few more interior progress pics. Here's where we were at my last update:

Now 6 inches of dirt has been dug out, the 2 inch foam has been laid and the pex tubing has been installed:

Next up, the other permanent post will be installed and the concrete will be poured.
