Is there any stores that sell fuses for cheap? Radioshack etc charge a fortune and I need some fuses for a pin pronto.

Cheap and fast don't usually go together- I'd say grab what you need from Rat Shack and then next time you order from Bob Roberts, stock up.

did i miss something? Are we talking about the same fuses I grab from Autozone for a few cents?

Probably needs like 4 and 7A slo-blow fuses.

Popular in Atari power bricks and the like, not so popular in gramps Delta 88.

I'd prefer not to go to radio shack as the pinball machine needs most all the fuses replaced.

you'd be surprised at the variety in those places. I've grabbed a whole mix of em from Autozone or Shucks (can't remember now). Many Atari bricks have been brought back to life from those places.

i bought some re-settable circuit breakers/fuse block. soldered on a bad fuse and two long wires so i can insert the bad fuse in the fuse holder and if i have a condition which causes the fuse to blow, i can still troubleshoot and not lose a good fuse.

i did this with my ROLLER DISCO pinball machine. paid for the unit right there...

Try the local auto parts store - I've had mixed luck, some carry a wide selection of fuses, some carry just the most common sizes.

I don't see normal fuses on home depots site, just the big-ass ones. I guess where its a small Item they could leave it out of there site.

All the Home Depot's here care a modest selection of fast blow and slow blow fuses for about $1.79 to $1.99 for a five pack.

Does your Autozone carry 250v fuses? Our local store only carries 32v fuses...

Well whatever the place is called (autozone, carquest, schucks, honestly I forget) they have a shit ton of fuses for cheap. Alot of 250V stuff as well. 2 amp, 4amp, 7 amp, you name it.

You might also want to try the smaller supply houses like True Value and Ace (John Madden's favorite place). I have found the 2,3,4,5,7,10A slo-blo fuses in the electrical lighting supplies with the lamp knob turn on thingies and with the auto fuses.

It's not worth chasing all over town trying to find the right fuse. Just order from Bob or Digikey and be done with it. They will magically appear at your front door in a few days. Spend your time working on your machines. Bob stocks almost anything you are likely to need, it is his business.
