I brought home a Capt. Fantastic last weekend and one of the things the seller told me was wrong is that the fuse holder was bad. It's the single one on the bottom of the cabinet and it has electrical tape holding the fuse in. I've looked at several sites that sell parts but didn't really see one that matches well. Was curious if a single unit fuse holder from Marco's is the one to go with or does someone sell an exact one for a SS game?
Thanks.

Dave, that's what I found at Radio Shack today. Was debating on getting the 4 holder one also and relaxing the three holder on on the inside, side of the cab. Would you use it long term though, it seems as robust as the original. I was also debating resoldering the new one in or using connectors this time. Any thoughts on that?

I've used them in several projects, for a fuse holder it's decent (and I'm not a big fan of the Shack). I usually screw them into wood (a single screw goes through the center). Since it's not something you really need to replace often (unlike the fuze itself, possibly) I'd solder the wires to either side, but if you're not confident in your soldering skills a couple crimp connectors will work just as well.

I got the fuse holder from the Shack ( two in a pack) and there was another holder on the side of the game that holds three fuses that had an unsoldered wire. Well I took the cheap Walmart solder tool I have and tried to solder the wire back on the three fuse holder and melted the backing of the one I was trying to get the wire back on. Luckily since it was a two pack I was able to cut the bottom part of the melted fuse block and use the single holder there using connecters and a crimper, and then replaced the other fuse holder that was held together with electrical tape. The game works great and when I get a chance I'm going to get a good solder gun and practice soldering until I can replace the three fuse holder so it will look cleaner. I got lucky and was able to solder a loose wire on one of the flipper coils, but that Walmart solder tool is not what I should be using or trying to learn on.
Thanks for the info Dave.
