Im looking to replace the lights that are behind the mini marquee on the control panel but there is no schematic for the showcase and the bulbs aren't marked. I tested to get 12v but Im not sure how else to tell. I picked up some 12v bulbs from a car place but when I put them in I dont get any reading. Any help?

Im assuming the lights are 12vdc in the cabinet. Have you checked the voltage with the probes inside the light socket to make sure the socket is good? Sometimes corrosion builds up in the socket causing a poor connection (or none at all!)

You sir, are in luck! I struggled with the same problem a few months back and discovered that these babies fit the bill nicely, but ONLY two of them, not 4, despite the fact that there are 4 available slots.

Here are photos of mine to make sure you have the same internals:

The part you seek is GE bulb 211-2 / BP2 12V automotive section of your nearest car parts store!

If you place all 4 of the bulbs in, the voltage drops too much, and they won't light. Only two of those babies in the locations above, one on each end should do the trick!

I just picked up a GL Showcase cab and mine had all those lights burnt out too (which is probably a good thing since there were pretty decent burn marks are on the inside printed vinyl.)

I decided to unplug/unscrew the light board, and instead wire up one of these 12v LED's. It illuminated the whole panel nicely and I don't have to worry about heat. Just wanted to add in another option for people.
