Can anyone tell me the amps of the F1 fuse on a MCR linear power supplu board, the one on my board keeps blowing and it is a 1 am fast blow but I think I found a schematic which says it is suppose to be a 3/5 amp slo blow. I just want to confrim before I put that fuse in.

I have 2 spares for my games and they both have stickers by the fuse indicating 3/8 slo-blow.

Maybe that was my problem, the mcr had a 1 amp fast blow so I will put in a 3/8 amp slow blow and see what happens. Just want to clarify that it is a 3/8 slow blow amp or a 3 amp slow blow, don't want to put anyhting in to big.:)

That fuse actually changes from game to game....check the specific game manual. Most do use a 3/8ths slo-blo....I'm know Spy Hunter calls for a 1/2 amp slo-blo.

Awesome, thanks edward for checking your manual. I will pick up a 1/2 amp slow blow and see what happens, hopefully someone just put in the wrong fuse. Thanks!

Well I had a 1 amp slow blow fuse handy so I put it on the mcr power supply board to see what would happen. Turned power on and the 1 amp sarted to glow orange but before it blew the 5 amp fuse on the transformer assembly blew. I am thinking the problem is on the MCR borad and not the transformer assembly becuase when the mcr had a 1 amp fast blow it blew but nothing happened to the fuse on the transformer assembly. Does that sound right. I am going to test the diode at 106 becuase that is connected to the fuse and see if it is bad. If that diode is bad I assume it could be causing the fuse to blow?

Finally got to take a closer look at the power transformer assembly and the fuse that blew on there when I tried a 1 amp slow blow on the mcr power supply was part of the +12v circuit so can I assume the area that is causing the fuse on the mcr power supply to blow is part of the +12 circuit.

I had the same problem last week, blowing F1 fuse on my TRON. I isolated the problem to the SSIO board since it uses the 12v for the sound circuits, take the 2 ribbon cables off the SSIO board and fire up game and see what happens, you'll get a sound board error warning and pix will be upside down, see if fuse still blows. I swapped out the SSIO on my TRON and all is good, come the winter I'll try and find problem on orig board.

The problem is on the either the mcr power supply or the transformer assembly because I disconnected everything else and the fuse on the power supply board blows.
