has anyone went to funspot with the family for a few days? if so what's to do in the area besides funspot? where to stay? did you drive or fly in? what to do?thanks a lot for any info in advance!

There's all kinds of resorts along Lake Winnepesaukee... and Lake Winnesquam.

Other then beach/water, I don't know what else there really is to do... I go up there pretty frequently to play on a friend's boat, but seldom actually go to FS :)

I grew up in the area... there are many things to do but you have to drive around a bit... there are nice places in the White Mountain region if you like hiking and swimming. If it were me I would plan a week or two to stay on Lake Winnipesaukee... rent a boat enjoy the summer then do small trips to Weirs and Funspot ... there are go-carts and water slides in the area too... small little fun things.

and if you're gonna be up there, the white mountains are awesome. moose hillock in warren is a pretty cool place to camp, and clark's trading post in lincoln, on the other end of the kanc, is fun too.

I was just up there for two days with my family last week. We had a GREAT time. We stayed on Lake Winnepesaukee.and stayed at the NASWA resort. We loved it - we are gonna go back later this year. They have a terrific beach and the rates are very reasonable. They also have an AWESOME somewhat kid-friendly beer/tropical drink tent that is HUGE , outside and sandy. I felt like I was in Key West. I rented a Jet Ski and my wife and kids were on the beach all day. It's basically a resort/boating area and there are a few decent restaurants and plenty of mini-golf, go-kart, arcade type stuff up there.

I live here and ditto to all the suggestions...definately try to get some time out on the lake and the White Mountains are definately worth the trip. Obviously, the stop at Funspot is a given!
