I'm looking to take a weekend trip to Laconia, NH to visit funspot. Any recommendations
on where to stay with the family that's clean with no bed bugs? Also, Aside from funspot, is there lake/beach swimming? Recommendations needed on what else to do. Thanks.

I stayed at the Townplace suites, very clean and fairly new. I went during the off season so there was not alot to do in the area.

I stay at Fireside Inn in Gilford.

It's about 3-5 miles away from FS but it is in a straight line (one road) which is nice. Free breakfast (with waffles...mmmm waffles) and very clean with an indoor pool. I've been going for awhile now and I've never stayed anywhere else.

My wife enjoys going to the beach when we are there for the tourney in the summer time as well as playing bingo next door :)

I recommend eating lunch or dinner here:

Excellent food/atmosphere, right on the lake if you eat outside.

John - i need to go back there. Maybe in the fall.

GREAT place, lots to do. Right near Funspot is Weirs beach, should be pretty nice around the summertime (we went in the fall, it was mostly shut down).

Glad to read you are going - you will LOVE funspot, probably one of the best arcades ever. We spent two days just in Funhouse and could have spent more - 4 floors of Arcade!

The food over there is great too.

Oh yeah - check out Castle in the sky too. Its about a half an hour drive, an old mansion set above the mountains (1800 feet?), open to the public. They also have a horse stable with the worlds largest horse ever - Zeus - quite an animal!

Enjoy it and let me know the details when you are back.

Looks Great!

Hey, this looks fantastic man... Keep em coming. Any other must do attractions? Looks like a place you could stay for up to 4 days and have fun right? How's the water and the beaches here? Anyone experience this lake?

Take my word for this...if you are a fan of the same stuff make it a point to visit Pinball Wizards on the Southern part of New Hampshire near the Massachusetts border on the way back...you'll be glad you did...that place is amazing....

We have many other attractions listed here http://www.classicarcademuseum.org/So-Much-To-Do.htm

You will also find a link to attractions in the White Mountains too (about one hour north of Funspot)
