So I sold a monitor 2 years ago on ebay. It was a red tent monitor with no real burn, worked fine, very nice. I packed it in a monitor box very well as I usually do. So the monitor gets there damaged, the adjustment board in the front cracked lengthwise. From the damage it had to have been dropped from about 3 feet onto a rail or something like it went though a sorting machine since the bottom frame was bent. So the PO takes the monitor back when I have the guy file a claim. The claim took 8 months. I flipped the guy some cash in the mean time so he wasn't out that long and he paid me back after the claim cleared. The monitor was sent January 26th 2008. So here I am having a lazy day at home and someone is pounding on the door. I usually do not answer to uninvited guests so I look out the window and see the postal truck and open the door to see a monitor box! I was just thinking wtf I didn't buy anything! I recognized the box as the one I sent and brought it inside. Sure enough the damaged monitor was there! I mean WOW that's service! Free crap! :D It probably works with another adjustment board, looks like the tube and chassis survived, AMAZINGLY since they sent it with almost none of the packing material! :004_ssuprised: It was as pictured in the box! :004_ssuprised: I mean I guess it's basically junk to them but sheesh they could have at least had all the sold foam pieces there... Amazing!

amazing! I guess better late than never right? It only took two years for them to decide what to do with it and ship it back to you.

I'm still waiting on my COBRA H.I.S.S. I ordered from Hasbro with some cash and flag points back in 1986. Maybe that will show up any day now too. would only be 24 years late so it's probably within their acceptable time frame for delivery.

Hehe, yeah the date on the packing tape said may 2008 so it was probably sitting in the postmaster's office all this time until he said "f-ing ship it!" :D I never expected it back. Anyway I'm fixing it today.

I don't know but I just repaired it so it's going to be more than it would have been. Took a while to solder all the traces back on that little control pcb. It's all stuck back together all I got a do is plug it in and see if it blows up :D

So how much are you selling it for now. :D

Maybe I will buy it from you when I collect the damages from my car accident back in 1995. Some clown in a pick-up truck was hammered and driving on the wrong side of the road with no lights on in the middle of winter at night.

He actually managed to drive his truck up over the hood on my sparkling 1993 Ford Tempo. Luckily, nobody was injured but he did $4,000 - $5,000 of damage.

He got out of the truck, looked at the wreck and offered me a check for $200 to cover the damage on the spot. Hum...no. No sooner did I decline his offer, he charged me throwing windmill style punches. However, he was sooooo wasted he could barely stay on his feet. I just walked into a bar (the one he just left) and called the cops.

When I returned, the guy and his girlfriend were gone but his truck was still resting on top of my Tempo in the road. The cops arrived and started to question if there was even another person driving the truck at the time of the accident. They could not comprehend why the other driver left on foot....but his footprints in the snow lead the cops right to him.

The jackball had no license or insurance....and actually hit another client of my insurance agent a few months earlier. The court ordered him to pay $25 per month. I think he has finally repaid the insurance company. Now he owes me the $500 deductible, rental car costs and interest according to the court order. One day, I will get my money and it will be a nice little bonus. :)
