Funny Things Your Kids Have Said About Arcade Games Or Your Home Arcade...

Kids sometimes say they darndest things....and of course....my kids crack me up daily. Here is my favorite of all time related to arcade games. Of course....keep in mind I spent 3-4 years creating Tranquility Base Arcade and am still working on it.

So my oldest (7) comes home from a play date and is all excited. She says...."Daddy....DADDY!!!....You wouldn't believe what my friend has in her basement!?"

My mind wandered to vintage arcade games.....maybe a skee ball machine.....some great collection....a fireman's pole to slide down from the first floor. I was so encouraged somebody else went crazy in their basement like me.

She said with such enthusiasm....."They have a TV AND a couch in their basement!!!....Can you believe they have a couch down there??? That is awesome!"

I of course agreed it was so very awesome....and thought that was the funniest thing I have heard in a while so I thought I would share.

Anyone else have some one-liners from your kids you'll never forget?

My four year old walks around singing and humming the Daytona USA theme sometimes. Its friggin hilarious. "DAYYYYYYTOOOONNNAAAAAAA!!!! Lets go away!!!"

He tells his family members and our friends about how he goes into the garage and spiderman beats up bad guys and shoots them with webs. (spiderman arcade)...people that don't know I have spiderman arcade in my garage are like "wtf??"

A few weeks ago my daughter who is 7, had a friend spend the night. I asked them if they wanted to go play some arcade games. Her friend got upset and said no. When I asked her what wrong, she said her mom didnt give her any quarters. I told her they are free to play and she was jumping for joy!

Smart 7 year olds! I have 20 something year olds here and they can't figure out how to start the game (especially pinball) even after I tell them that!

We stopped in a little game area at the movie theater once and my boys acted really disappointed, so I said, "what's wrong?" and they said this arcade doesn't have an Asteroids!

The best one. Was my middle daughters friend. She came over for the first time and said oh my god this is better than gatti land that totally made my day. Then my youngest once ask where the mouse went. Which is really funny because se has been around hundreds of games.

My daughter had a friend over and after I showed her friend how to play Spy Hunter she was hooked.

She kept saying, "How is it that I've never heard of Spy Hunter or any of these games before?"

Playing Spy Hunter is all she wants to do when she comes over now...

My six year old tells me constantly that he hates the arcade because when his friends come over all they want to do is play in the basement (arcade).

I mostly get from my 6 and 7 year old nephews "How do I pause this". And they still don't get the concept of each machine has only one game on it.
