Funny how arcade game and car hobbies cross over.

My arcade & tech collections consume enough of my life already. So I don't have any room at this point in my life to go too deeply down the automotive side. I do appreciate them though. I'm regularly at the Petersen because of the show we are doing there. Now that's a great car collection.

Shameless plug for arcade/automotive cross over, and the show again.... If you find yourself in Los Angeles...

Wife's tire on Jeep has been losing a little air for a while now. I finally got some time today to further inspect and see what was up..

AWESOME!!! Closest one to us is Bengies, but they suck anymore :(
That's too bad. I love going to the drive-in. Closest ones used to be in Kansas City after the Council Bluffs one closed down in the mid 00's (Council Bluffs Drive-in is where those speakers on the pole came from). But they opened this place up about 5 years ago so it's nice to have one that's closer to home. Although I do still like the Kansas City ones (even though there's only one left there now)

I grew up going to them. Saw the following movies at one in DE:

ALL Herbie movies
The Black Hole
The Secret of NIMH
The Rescuers
Apple Dumpling Gang
Escape from Witch Mountain
The Cat From Outer Space

Probably more that I have forgotten over 50 years :)

That's awesome! I only got to go to the drive-in once as a kid. We drove past the place all the time but the only time we got to go to it was to see MIB 2. Was a heck of a fun time though. Then years later after they closed I saw someone on another forum had some drive-in speakers and I decided to see about finding some and was curious as to weather any were still around. I then found the 3 in the Kansas City area that I frequented quite often till the two in Missouri closed down. Absolutely love the drive-in theater

Working on Harley Davidsons for the dealer my entire career, is how I ended up here.25 years next slept . I went into the city to look a side job and when the dude opened his garage there was an Iron Man Ivan Stewart super off road inside . He gave it to me because his wife wanted to use the space it was taking up.. here I am 15 years late on klov IMG_2154.jpeg

We had open house at the dealership and I brought some games in. I've been a mechanic there almost 25 years now. Many video arcades I've found in garages of broken motorcycles.. I've even traded work for them.. video arcade machines seem to make there way into the garage hang outs and man caves..

I've known of games found in garages too. It's kindof like basements and barns, they just tend to make their way to those places.

That's pretty cool. I feel like that picture deserved further explanation! Lol

I'll be happy to ride along with you!

I've shared it many times here, but my first arcade game came out of the garage of a fellow motor head. We were getting ready to go to a cruise night and I spotted the game in the corner. The game was Asteroids, and I still have it.

That was over 20 years ago. 😮

Wanted to get back into the car game, sold my Medieval Madness for 19k before the market fell out. Picked up this 1992 Nissan Pulsar GTI-R
