Funny Craigslist posting (Portland)

Looks like a good candidate for repro playfields. Assuming they actually come out.

This is truly one of those games that if a person really wants/loves it then it's worth restoring. Otherwise FG isn't worth squat and sadly the repro playfield will probably cost more than a complete working game.
It's probably worth $200 in parts but sadly that's all it's good for is parts.

I guess it depends where you live. I sold one with a fairly beat playfield for $900 last year. That said... it wasn't a "collector" and it was a nicely restored game other than the playfield wear. It was a guy who had a crappy "Alive" home version pin and some drunk guy drove into the front room of his house and smashed it. He got some money from insurance so he bought a pin from me. True story.

Flash Gordon gets a lot of love around here.

I've got one in pretty sad shape with a really nice backglass and decent cabinet. I'm really debating whether I'll buy the new playfields. Not so much because I'm worried about resale (where I already know I'll make nothing for my time) but I just don't know if I want to commit to another playfield swap. I've got enough to do already. haha

Like I said about the Space Shuttle restoration: It will depend how much free cash I've got when the playfields come out.
