Ok. This happend last week. I waited to post anything so I could wait and see how it turned out.
A game Popped up on CL near me. I emailed back and foruth with the buyer a few times before I could get him to call. Finally he called. The guy seemd to need the cash real bad. It was a good game for cheap so I wanted to get it. He said someone offered him more and what would I pay. I told him I would pay the asking price but I could be there in a half hour. He agreed since the other buyer could not be there until the next day and he wanted it gone. I got the address and headded that way. It was 20 minutes from me.

I was getting close to the street he lived on and several police cars wizzed by me very quickly with there lights off. Living where I do, this is not a rare sight so I dismissed it. I turned on his street and looked at the address of the first house on the street then looked down the street to where I was guessing his address would be. There were several police cars surrounding the general area where the address should be. I drove down the street and sure enough, the epicenter of the police activity was around the address I had been given. I drove past the house, Went to the end of the street and turned around. I parked at the neighbors house. I watched the police for a couple of minutes to geet a feel of what was going on. They seemed fairly calm so I took my gun out of my belt, slid it under my seat and walked up to the house.I did not want to seem threatining. Instantly When I got to the driveway, all there attention was focused on me. I said: "Hi Guys. Whats going on?" They looked at me put there hands on there guns and backed up a little. Seeing they werent sure if I was the person they were looking for I proceeded to tell them why I was there. They understood. It seems the house had been foreclosed on. The previous owner of the house had shown up and kicked in the door 15 minutes earlier. A neighbor had called the police. I presumed he broke in to get the game out to meet me. A cop answered the call and the guy ran. He went after him and the others were there to secure the house and see if he would come back. They did not catch the guy. I BSd with the cops a few minutes got a good repore with them and said: "I need to grab someting out of my truck, I will be right back" I came back with a roll of painters tape and a Sharpie. I put tape on the kicked in front door and wrote on it. TO WHOEVER CLEANS OUT THE HOUSE I WILL BUY THE ARCADE GAMES 317-7XX-XXXX Aaron The police did not like it but they let me do it. I half expected them to pull the tape off when I left. I put games on the note because I saw a few inside.
I got a phone call today. I got the game that was listed plus 1 other that was also in the house. I left the 3rd one. It pays to be diligent once again. Just thought I would share.

Games

One that I came for origionaly is a rare, sought after one. Not many made. The other one is wanted, just not so rare. I will get them sold then I will post pics. I dont tell people what I pay usualy. Although, I did pick up a Bump N' Jump today also while I was out. (That one is sold already)

I carry one most of the time. I go to some shady areas some times with a lot of cash. I have only had to use one once in the last 6 months and I did not have to pull the trigger.

Hell yeah, carrying is a must for me when getting a game if I don't know the person or place. If I do know the person I don't bother carrying it but it's definitely "available" if needed.

After looking at your VAPS, my guess is Liberator and Robotron

Typically, on my side of the street, the cops would have told you to fuck off or perceived you as a threat or in the way. I'm surprised they let you put tape on the door. :p Cool story.

Nothing says, "I'm just here to pick up some games and not intimidate or cause trouble" like some random dude showing up to the door packing a pistol in his pants. SARCASM OVERLOAD! KABOOM FIZZEL FIZZEL! ZZZZT!

True, very true. The key is to not let it be noticeable. :D

There is no way in hell I would have went up to the house. In my area meth houses are a big problem. That would have been the first thing I suspected.
