Hey all!

Merry christmas :)

I may be jumping the gun here, but I'll soon get a Funhouse where the keys are
gone. Seller says that everything powers up, but no displays at all. I get it cheap,
so I'm not asking him questions:)

Any experience in what could be the problem? Just so I have something to go
by when it gets home...I need to get on it the second it arrives:)

Chances are that the displays are ok, I take it...sounds strange that both should
die, right?

Thanks,

Nicholas

It's possible that both are dead. They are originally the gas plasma displays and could have both leaked. That is probably your worst case scenario but I'm willing to bet either the data cable is loose the display driver board or your missing your high voltage.

Funhouse Dead Display - Help ?

So, my display is doing nothing. Game plays, sound is great, everything is good, just no display. I am not real good at testing. I have a tester, but really don't know where or what to test. I did swap out the data ribbon with one from my fully working Fish tales. No luck.

Strangely, if you connect the data ribbon to the J201 connection BACKWARDS, the dead display shows a zero briefly on the top right score and shows a zero permanently on the lower right score.

The battery holder was recently replaced.

Any help you can provide would be a big help.

Hi.

On the PCA that's mounted on the back of the Display:

1) Check F301, it it's blown, replace it with a 3/8A Slow Blo Fuse.

2) Check to see if you have 100vdc across C3 and C4.
(put red lead on "+" and the black lead on ground. The reason I say this as C3
should be a positive voltage, and C4 should be negative.)

Tell us what you find.
