Fun Chicken Club

Is this club only for Lucky Chicken or also includes the rotating Fred Flintstone version?

If anyone with the Flintstone version wants out of the club, let me know.
I am interested and ready to buy.

nice pick up @mbert0
since i sold off all my machines except one, the Fun Chicken is one of the ones I miss most, and one that got played most. It cost me a lot of money BITD to buy the eggs and the toys to fill them, best of luck with your machine.

Thanks, appreciate that.

Yeah, I overlooked the hunt for quality toys and stuffing them in eggs. Lots of eggs.

Just finished my Flintstones. Got it from an operator I know but it had no PCB....the hardest piece to find apparently. It sat for a year and I went back to the operators horde to get more games and parts and hidden in plastic tub behind a stack of Daytona USA board sets was the PCB. polished out as much as I could of the plastics and a ton of cleaning. Coin counter is around 80000.

Don't suppose you could put me in touch with the fella that had the Daytona boards please?

I had the full size chicken machine and the flinstones one. They took up a lot of space so I sold them years ago. Well this thing pops up on Facebook a few weeks ago and it's like the cabaret version. It's small and doesn't even need to be plugged in it runs on 2 9 volt batteries. It's in amazing shape and after reflowing some solder on the board it works perfectly.

New member to the club. In the process of resto. Have it stripped down and sandblasted. It is currently out to powdercoat.

Meanwhile the internals im sorting out on the bench. This is where i have questions.

can anyone share a pic of the coin mech interface with the switch? As whats on this seens janky. Im swapping mech to esd 8 slot. Wouldnt hurt to see others setups.

Also- any pics of light bulb setup? Diagram shows a bulb and a flasher. I just have a single bulb.

Goal is to be finished in next 2 weeks. After its initial unveiling it will be out on location earning quarters :)

some info for those needing parts for fun chicken

Original motor is 3m104. It is discontinued.

Replacement is 52jd98. Available at grainger no problem. Ill post the minor differences when i fully assemble.

Also- the carriage bolts for the window frames are #10-24 size. Aparently unobtanium at local and big box hardware sections as they dont carry that small.

On my machine- the relay failed on opto board so chicken never stopped when egg broke opto. As result- it burned up the motor. Relay i moved off board and am using a 1 channel relay board i grabbed off amazon. This way the opto part is isolated from the on/off portion to the motor.

Lastly- anyone know when the split was on fun chicken design? Im noticing two cab styles. Full door version and a split front door. Id imagine full door is early- as it seems more rudimentary vs the split door

My girls ,still not legal in the village ,breaking the law used to be more fun

Assembly process.

I swapped coin mech to a 8 slot esd. Problem is I don't have room behind the mech to trip switch.

Originally switch was on the 25c mech. As result, I offset mounted the switch. Then I used a 90* ruler for my offset bracket to trigger the switch lol. Mounted ruler to coin mech. Made dots where I needed pins at. Drilled holes/used screws- it worked. Afterwards I spot welded everything together and painted it black.

Wire wise- everything Is tied down and sorted. I HATE spaghetti wiring.

My bracket for the switch- I put nut-sert in the panel and oilted the bracket down vs using sheetmetal screw.

You can also see my relay board that was moved off opto board. To run wires nice/clean drilled hole and grommet.

Power cord had strain relief and I knotted on inside for back up.

Final assembly. New casters, New plexiglass and hardware. Waiting on stickers. They will be here this weekend. At that point will be able to install front plexi in door and call it done.
