Does anyine know if there are any full screen (all on screen at once), 4 player xbox360 games that you can just basically grab a controller and join a current game? Arcade or shooter?

I don't recall which ones you can drop in and out of, but here's a few to get you started.

Castle Crashers

Scott Pilgrim The Game
X-Men The Arcade game
Dead Block (4-player split screen)
Any of the Worms games
The TMNT arcades used to be on Xbox Live but I can't seem to find them now :(

You might check this link out in a bit more detail.

I highly recommend Castle Crashers and Scott Pilgrim, though. You don't need to know anything about or like the SP movies or books to enjoy the game. All you need is to enjoy old school beat 'em ups :)

your recommendation...

Let me go a step further... what would you recommend if you were to use the xbox360 in an arcade enviroment, with a 200" screen, projected, with 4 wired controllers. A coin slot w/timer on each controller would sell the time and turn on/off the usb controllers.

I can't have a game that wouldn't allow others to join in until they finished as one person could stop 3 other seats from being used. Also, nothing above teen rating as it is open to the public.

Any ideas? I have heard of arcades using setups like this but there are none around here to check out.

Any ideas would truly be appreciated.

I haven't played them so I can't tell you if they allow players to join in at any time, but I would check out the new NBA Jam and NFL Blitz, also the new Rayman game is 4 player as well.

You should probably verify the legality of charging for console games, if you haven't already.

I checked both CC and SP and neither allow you to drop in and out of the the game, though there are "lives" in SP. Regardless, a new player cannot join mid-game in either, you have to go back to the menu and create a new game.

But regardless, as a general rule on new consoles, if a controller is "turned off" or loses connection min-game, the game pauses and tells you to reconnect. I know you're talking wired controllers, which I do not have multiples of for 360, but I still don't know how you're setup would react to what you're trying to do.

In the end, I don't think there are enough games for 360 that meet all your specifications to make it worthwhile.

But if you try it out, good luck. I'd be interested to hear how you make it work.
