Just got this test print from Rich at ThisOldGame.com. He wanted to send me the very first print since I was the one who sent HIM the artwork file. Dimensions and line-up were PERFECT straight out of the gate! Here's a link to how this came about for those who might be new to this ( http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=258422&highlight=full+dedicated )

nice, colors are a lil off but not bad. that must be the NBA Jam sideart there in that one picture? unfortunately your CPO didn't come out so nice :(

Wait, you put that in top of your original art?!

Yes. Two reasons. That was the only way to really verify the dimensions, short of taking 1000 measurements and there were some flaws that I wanted to cover up. Kills two birds with one stone.

Seriously, you are a perfectionist. Your cab looked perfect. I should get in the business and sell side art that is layered like post-it notes.

"Woops! I sneezed on my cabinet! Guess I should peel off that layer." ;)

It looks really nice, but it seems to have too much of a red tint to it, especially the fleshtones. Will he be able to adjust this if you asked? I am really excited about getting a set for my mk3 game. thanks for all the work!!!!

Looks great! I may pick up a set when it's all done and finished :)

I agree a little too red and can't see the skyline of the city but like you said 98% perfect.

I have been in contact with Rich and he said he'd try and adjust the contrast of the original image to allow for colors that more closely match and he's chime in on the thread soon. Give him some time. It DOES look a bit too red even in person, but like I said, it's still phenomenal for how this whole project was conceived of.

No doubts on the quality of this sideart my friend. I personally have been wanting a good repro set for a long time. I can't stress how much i appreciate guys like you and Rich for taking on projects like this, obviously you didn't need them since you had a super nice MK3 cabinet, but you did all the hard work anyway for the rest of us. If there is anything you are looking for, just let me know and i will keep my eyes open in the st louis area for you, i will do whatever i can to help you get whatever you want from my area. Thanks again and i will be waiting to hear the results of the color tweaking Rich is going to do. I can't wait to get my own set and finally complete my set of dedicated MK cabs!!!!!

My pleasure and will do!

WoW

Wow this is awesome, I'm sooooo glad there are people out there that still care about restoring these cabinets!

The artwork itself I think looks good but I can tell it's a picture of the thing.

I can't imagine how a scan of it would be with these two guys working the job!!

Keep up the great works guys!

yea skin tones are to red, purples are to blue, blues are to dark (clouds), background buildings to dark as well as shao's armor. only other thing i notice is the starburst seems to have longer brighter lines coming off it (mainly noticeable by the "3")

Ive worked this about as much as I can added alittle extra bleed to the top corner as mentioned in the video and tweaked the colors a bit based on the pics.\
Luckily I still had my initial test print to compare the results.
So its a little lighter, less red, and a brighter purple
Im not sure the pics really show the difference but this art is now as good as it gets.
and will be adding this to the site hopefully later this afternoon
