Maybe this is the wrong forum? But I'll try anyway.

About to build my first MAME cabinet. I am looking for the Full MAME set and some of the console ones too. If any of you guys have these can you help me out? Please PM me if you can. I am willing to compensate you for your time. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies.

I ran across the lazarus site. I thought maybe someone here may have a HD they wouldnt mind letting me borrow for a few days. or I could send someone a HD and they could send it back. If not I guess I will go the other route. Thanks again.

First rule of KLOV is we dont talk about MAME.

:)

I bet dozens of people that are here got back into the arcade hobby because of it. It got me back into collecting and I've seen plenty of other people say it too. I know you're kidding, but it definitely shouldn't be a taboo subject!

Literally BUILD? Or take an existing, working video arcade machine and gut it / modify it / etc?

That makes or breaks whether or not people will organize a witch hunt on you here... ;)

It doesn't have to be working...I built mine from a Robotron cab, but I would hardly call it gutting a Robotron, since it had been converted at least 3 times, had the sides painted over twice, and was pretty much an empty cab when I got it ;)

I should have worded it better. I understand some people are really touchy about that subject. I am just going to modify an old Data East Robocop cab that i bought a few years ago to do this project but never got around to it. The cabinet was gutted when I got it. I would never "MAME" a "classic" or even an original cabinet thats still working.
Using an existing cabinet saves me a lot of time. Not to mention I dont have the right tools or the skill to build a cabinet from scratch.
