I'm hearing from everyone on the discussion section that the board is going for $100 to $120.
Are you game for that price?

Now that people have successfully capped the sound chip having a perfectly working Xmen board is like having a CPS2/CPS3 board with an unchanged battery.

I recently capped my Xmen with original caps.

All Xmen boards are a ticking bomb that should be capped if they are currently 100% working.

IMHO a capped one is the only way to justify top dollar for an Xmen board now.
you can probably categorize them this way:

Sound Gone - $50 or less as it may not be repairable
Obviously sound issues and/or leaking caps - $50-100
Perfectly working - uncapped $100-$150
Capped 100% working sound chip. $150-$175

I agree. All caps fail at some point. Right now, I have a original NEO-GEO system board and a original CAPCOM CPS-1 system board with sound problems. And I think it's failing cap(s). It seems to me that some caps fail quicker and faster that other caps. And when a caps fails, it may leak a material onto the board that can ruin it--like a bad battery that leaks. It also seems to me that some game boards--KONAMI--are infamous for their sound problems (failing caps) kinda like some OTHER game boards--CAPCOM--are infamous for their graphics and start up problems (failing batteries). In any event, proper care and regular maintenance is the solution. ;)
