FS: Warlords PCB - SOLD!!

For sale: Warlords PCB from my workbench and burned in. I built a Warlords to Jamma adapter and am set up to repair these boards.

All eight of the notoriously bad EPROM sockets have been replaced with high quality 24 pin Augut brand machined sockets.

If you were ever thinking about building or restoring a Warlords cocktail or upright, it's time to get your PCB. The same PCB works in either cabinet. Need a spare?

$265 shipped. <---- SOLD!!

Best,

Still for sale.

A couple of people have inquired and shot me a much lower price based upon other sales from longer than a year ago. While I may be a little flexible on the price, please keep in mind that this board has been gone over, all ROM sockets replaced with very high quality machined Augat sockets, repaired and burned in and power cycled for reliability. If it was just a board I got and plugged in and it worked and ran fine for a couple of days, I could and would sell it for less. Think of it as labor you would have had to do or pay someone to do. I guarantee that the original Atari ROM sockets will fail or give you intermittent problems if they are not replaced. You can clean and re-seat the ROMS and they will work for awhile, but the problem will crop up again. You do get what you pay for.....

OK - off my soapbox now.

I think it's a good idea to point out that people are getting what they pay for on occasion like this.

Plenty of times, other people are out just to fleece other members. On this occasion, you are getting a high quality, reliable product.

Maybe offer some sort of short warranty? Not a dig, I really want you to sell this. :D

Thanks - warranty is whole thread unto itself. I take care of my buyers within reason. Most of the classics are over 30 years old and it is amazing to me that they are still running at all. Parts do fail after the fact even after extensive burn-in and test to catch them.

I did have one buyer return a ms. pac board saying it was on his shelf unused for three years and it did not work when he powered it up the first time. Funny, it had an "in game" dust pattern, grimey ribbon cable that was not the same as the replacement ones I ship, and an unlabeled Eprom or two. I repaired it to save grief but that was the last deal with him. He is on the "sorry the board is already sold / I have too much repair work to do" list. ;)

BTW - sale pending....
