FS . TurboDuo-R with extras

I once again vouch for vertexguy. Hes credible. We've done multiple sale transactions.....and take a free *bump*

:)

To clarify, I never said the OP was not trustworthy. I don't know the OP. Simply put, as someone who has not done a deal with him, to read something like that and see that he does not even consider allowing the buyer to have PayPal protection is a red flag. Personally, I don't do friends and family with anyone on KLOV and I always offer to cover the fees to ensure I have protection in a sale, and if the seller is unwilling to do that, then I won't do the deal.

Honestly, it's a lot easier to be a buyer than a seller. I agree that F&F is fine in this case. Especially if the seller sends a video, that's like a no-issues thing unless the seller is a huge scam artist with way too much time on his hands.

If you're a buyer and you get scammed: Frequent KLOV visitor and seller sends you broken piece, you take it up with them, if they don't send the money back you complain on a thread and get a KLEVIN-style torch-lighting. You have the item too which is nice, it's just broken. You could always lose a little money and get it repaired or again lose some money and take a loss on it selling it as parts, but it's something.

If you're a seller and you get scammed: You lose both the money AND the item, the buyer is more than likely just some guy rather than an established person, and you can complain all you like but unless you get lucky and the person is an established member (which are probably not the type to be the ones scamming anyways), your "shitting on their name" thread does diddly-squat. PayPal will side with the buyer (in most cases) and you are absolutely fucked, losing both money and item and the other person gaining both item and money for nothing, and effectively doing nothing either just spending 5 minutes of their time messaging some guy.

I bought from VertexGuy before and the item came as described. It did smell horribly of smoke though (like, incredibly violently), not sure if he's an indoor smoker or just was the item.

Since it was just a monitor chassis (and thus a giant piece of metal hardware going inside a cabinet which both masks the smells and also allows me to minimally have to see the chassis itself at all) I didn't complain about it/ask to return it, but when the question comes up on it, I tend to note this to friends incase they are buying something more important or personal like a gaming console that they are going to have inside their home right in front of their face.

But yeah, if the dude wants to change F&F, it's fine, and really the complaining is getting kind of old. It's a really old debate, and it has two sides of fuckery and scamming, but at least unlike paying as services, it's not a glaring risk and requires some commitment and knowledge that you could get scammed as a buyer (you know you might get scammed and commit to it, rather than paying as a service where you can just get a surprise case).

In a nutshell, i had a friend sell one for me last year because he has a decent ebay account.
Somebody bought it and returned it but it wasnt what i sold him when i got it back.
he got a free working duo and i had to eat a shit sandwich.
These things are hard to come by for me , i pay alot of money for them myself
matter of fact i bought this one from a trusted seller pretty much as gift and
all went well. I just dont need this one anymore.
The everdrive came from a different ebay seller and works fine, im even including a nice
sd card with it.

wish you were closer, i have some stuff i could trade but the shipping would make it an upside down deal.

also regarding requiring friends and family, just ask that someone cover the fees. or are you more concerned about someone you don't know buying it and suddenly getting buyer's remorse and filing a claim for a return? i guess i can understand either way, this is a pricey item and they can be pretty finicky. i've always wanted one of these but $550 is steep for me right now.

tl;dr free bump, glwts.

I am worried about somebody swapping parts yes. It happened before when my friend
put my other one on ebay for me.

$550 would be steep for just a unit,, but you get other stuff so (a loaded everdrive turbo, Arcade card, some cds) These units are only going up in price but id be willing to let it go for a decent trade or cash.
