No offense and I don't mean to price police. But your asking price is a little high for what they have been going for lately. Thats not to say that it isn't cheap for what they used to go for, but I think I have seen 4 or 5 sell for 125 ish over the last 6 months. And again, no disrespect intended. I just thought you might want to know. Best of luck with your sale.

or you could convert it to splatterhouse and sell it for $350+..
due to added cost of paying salary for price police the boardset is now $185 + 10 shipping.
Thanks
Funny you should mention that. I actually emailed hobby roms with that very idea. Here is his reply:
" I hate to pop your balloon,
but I'm not sure you can easily convert a sys1 board from game to another.
As I understand it, although they share a similar PCB,
most of these game have custom chips which are specific for each game,
so a rom swap would not work.
Besides, SplatterHouse has 30 eproms, including 19 special 27c1000 eproms
( mask-compatible ) which are much harder to find and therefore more expensive.
(... they cost me $8ea to buy, so my lowest selling price, programmed, would be $10 each )
So the full romset would be about $250. ... hardly cost-effective.
I guess there is a reason why this game is so expensive... sorrry. "
well, I know it can be done as my galaga 88 was converted.. I can't say who did it, but it can be done. I am sure its just a matter of eproms and bypassing or copying security chips..
I meant it as a joke in repsponse to the price police post.. But if galaga 88 would not work, then assualt or one of the others might..
but even at $250, it might be cost effective. splatterhouse is up on ebay buy it now for $500... But I would guess finding cheaper chips to use(or reuse) would make things easier.
I'd definitively like to see a good HD closeup of your board and a HD pic of a dedicated Splatterhouse. That game is so rare, I would consider getting the roms burned if I knew it would work. I even posted a while back trying to dig up info on a possible conversion. I think the last one on ebay sold for like 350. Although, I agree with the other guy about it really being worth 250-300, but I would like to see some definitive info on possible conversions. One more option in getting a copy. I did hear that Pacmania is different than Galaga 88 due to some extra custum chips so I am apt to believe what Steph at hobbyroms told me. My original question to him was about possible donor boards being used and if the info could be gathered from mame files.
Oh yeah: Best I can tell, Assault is an entirely different family of boards according to system 16. System 1 vs. System 2.
There is nothing wrong with converting one or selling it, but you will be rolling the dice when it comes to fetching what an original commands monetarily.
