im pretty sure all the crazy kong boards are "part II". at least all the ones i have ever had.
***EDIT*** i guess some of the crazy kong hacks are not part II. but the falcon boards and hacks running falcon pinouts are. at least that is what i just understood from a pm i got from CrazyKongFan.
There's several versions out there. Part 2 was supposedly the official licensed one Falcon used overseas (they were illegal here). Most of the boards look like that style, with the Falcon pinout, but some versions are missing 1 ROM and the game play is a little different (as are the color proms). Orca also made a version of Crazy Kong, and theirs has a completely different board. It's 2 smaller boards joined by a ribbon cable, and uses Orca's pinout (22/44 vs 18/36 on the Falcon pinout). I'll include some screenshots from each game. First, Crazy Kong Part 2:
There's also a couple others that play identical, but have different names. One is Monkey Donkey, another is Donkey King. There's also one version of Crazy Kong missing the ladder in the middle on the 2nd row on the barrel board. I have one of these and recently dumped it and it's now in MAME (it wasn't before that). Here's a screenshot of that one in MAME:
You can see right in front of Mario, there's no ladder where there's supposed to be one. I've seen 2 machines on ebay that were both Congorilla cabs that had that same ROMset. (one had a link to a video of it running, the other included a couple closeup shots of the bezel, and you could see the missing ladder in the demo playing on the screen)
