FS: Tempest PCB and control panel

PCB was fully working when pulled a few weeks ago. When playing 2 players, the text sort of warps as the text transitions to gameplay. This has zero impact on gameplay itself. Everything else seems to be 100%.

Asking $160 shipped for the PCB. *SOLD*

Control Panel is the older style with icons for players rather than numbers. Fully populated. Spinner hums a little when spun quickly, but works great. There is some flaking where the CPO wraps around the CP, but overall, looks nice. Pics:

PM me if interested- and if I'm off on my prices, price police me in this thread and I'll adjust accordingly. :)

You're a SON OF A BITCH for destroying that Tempest and converting it to a Major Ha...

Oh, whoops.

Hey. I have a non 'humming' spinner I'll gladly trade you for the humming one. I like the 'BZZZZZZZZZZZ!'. No big whoop either way, just offering. :)

Hahaha. If you want a hummer (HA!), I'll trade you... assuming whoever decides to buy it would prefer a non-hummer.

Cool.

I think the one I have has an aftermarket bushing added, or something, that gets rid of the Bzzz! but I personally am a big fan of said hum. ;)

The warping text between player 1 and 2 is not a problem with your board.

Later model monitor boards caused this effect because there is nothing being drawn on the bottom half of the screen. The spot killer starts to kick in thinking there's a problem, then turns back off when the P2 level loads.

This is what Tempest ROM revision 3 fixes - it adds Atari to the bottom of the screen to prevent the image collapse.

I cannot wait until I get organized enough to start selling off some parts!

GL on the Tempest stuff. Looks like good prices to me!

I think you should give me your Tempest board for being such a jerk and ruining that game.

He's actually giving it to me to make a wicked-cool PCB Notebook / Folder / Binder thingy out of. Check it:

Hahahahahahahaha

And I can't wait to get my murder mitts on that Dedicated Major Havoc, Joe. I just hope the monitor rotation goes smoothly.
