*Game located in Summerville/North Charleston area SC*

Hey guys,

Been away from the forums for a while due to business with work, other hobbies, and a broken finger. After some deliberation I have decided to put my Tron on the chopping block seeing as the game has not been getting much play lately.

I received the game non-working and brought it back to life; various parts were replaced in the process. The power cable was replaced, linear PS replaced with Switcher/Adapter with HS save, PCB has new ribbon cables and new ROMS on the video generator board. The light fixture below the CP was also replaced with a Wal-Mart fixture and has a blacklight installed. The monitor has a little burn in from the MCP cone but works fine and is nice and bright, I didn't feel like it needed a cap kit but I had one waiting in the wings. The game hums due to the switcher which I know may be a turn off for some. The wiring has also been spliced in certain places to accommodate the switcher.

Cosmetically the game is no looker, the art is all there but none of it has been repainted or restored. Plenty of scratches and a little bit of flaking/fading here and there. There is also what appears to be slight water damage underneath the coin door.

I have decided I would prefer to trade this one. I have been on the hunt for a decent Ms. Pac for a while now, does not have to be even close to cosmetically perfect but I would prefer the game to be in good working order. Seems to me this would be a fair trade based on the value of both games; if you have another trade to propose just let me know. If anyone is interested in buying it outright that is fine, don't worry I'm not looking to get a fortune just because the new movie is coming out. This isn't a $1000 Tron by any means. I can also include the original removed PS/board, light fixture, ROMS, and a new Bob Roberts K4900 cap kit as well.

If there is any interest I will be able to get some more detailed pics in a few days.

PS the light below the CP in the light up pic is fully functional and working now =D

Edited and a bump for the evening crowd, I know the Southeast retro gaming scene is not the biggest out there but entertain me with some trades! I know Tron gets much love on here. Only thing I am opposed to at the moment are Nintendo cabs.

Although this has nothing to do with arcades I'm also in the market for a nice guitar amp if anyone is into that sort of thing. Pref something in the 100Watt solid state range or a nice tube combo that doesn't run thousands.

Another mini-bump with the standard "what aren't you closer?" response... :(

Bryan and Segagee-

You guys can meet in the middle in Columbia and we'll play some different arcade games while you're here-

Warehouse PARTY!!

Yes we really need to do this sometime when we can all get off work or something.

As for the Tron, I have some bad news. I ran this idea by my woman tonight, thinking she would be excited to get the big ol' Tron out of the house and get a more "womanly" game. Instead, she flipped shit and basically told me to keep the game because it sets our collection apart and is aesthetically pleasing and that we put all kinds of work into it, etc.

Seriously though what the hell kind of woman would keep a Tron over a Ms. Pac?

...the kind you need to hang onto!!! ;)

I kid you guys not I am in utter disbelief. She just told me this and I quote "our arcade games are like pets, you can't just go getting rid of them."

This is the same woman who suggest we put blankets and hot chocolate by them in the winter.

Next thing I know she will be throwing the bastards in the pool so they can cool off from the 100 degree heat.

While I hear what you're saying, she obviously knows not to give them water damage! :D

Yessir, hang onto her!!! ;)

Yah,
Id like to get in on this as well!! Of course as soon as I get my arcade room(s) done Ill probably have an open house party. Getting Kerry up here will be the trick though!! LOL! :D
