1989 SEGA Super Monaco GP (upright)

Exterior shows its age with cosmetic scratches but is solid. No deep gouges or breakage. See pictures for visual detail.

Machine is in top working order.
Recently installed new VRs on controls (wheel, pedals) for optimal play.
Steering mechanism serviced, cleaned and greased.
Variable engine vibration assembly updated with new bearings.
19" Monitor has crisp, vivid picture and has all new capacitors.

This is a challenging Formula One race game. Qualify on a short lap to achieve starting position. Finish the main race in 3rd place or better and you'll compete in a special challenge.

The display incorporates a zoom effect on the monitor for an enlarged picture when standing in front of machine.
There is also a subwoofer next to the coin door (separate volume control). This speaker is brand new.

Take it home for $275

Hold START during the attract mode to view the
permanent list of track records.

Excellent Formula One racing in an upright cabinet.
Last chance for a KLOV sale.

Not that you are close enough to buy this one, but can you link this to another machine to do 2 player?

Great question! SMGP did boast the POWERLINK capability, but I haven't bothered to investigate it further nor do any of my pals have a second machine for us to experiment with.

It definitely looks like it can do Com-Link, also has dip switches on the board for cabinet ID numbers. This is all a surprise to me, and I'd definitely want more information if anyone is familiar with this process.

According to the Super Monaco GP Communications Manual I found online, it looks like this functionality was part of a separate communications board. The manual doesn't seem to indicate what board is required.

Hook it up brothers! I'm already heading out toward Malice this weekend!!! SOMEONE RESCUE THIS GAME, it's one of my favorites, but I don't need two... even though this one looks marginally nicer than the one I own.

Really? Mine is a bit faded and scratched up, certainly not a trophy piece. But me personally, I dig battle scars.

Your decals are a little nicer than his I think. Here's his. It lives at my house :)

I'm okay with that.

It's really a cool game.

Chris

All yours man! I actually went to see the game tonight with the intention of giving Gary (cool guy by the way!) a deposit if I liked it enough. I had never played it before and decided at this point it just wasn't for me. Nothing at all against the game. Plays well and looks pretty decent. Really cool magnifying bezel. Pretty cool looking game all around. Enjoy! :)

PM sent to buy it:)

Thanks to EagleTG for the transport offer:)
